ADAM RALEIGH

CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER

Mr. Raleigh is responsible for strategic planning and the overall direction of Latin Markets.  Previously, Mr. Raleigh developed investor education programs for IMN-Euromoney, Institutional Investor Awards, and other leading firms focused on the needs of investors worldwide. Mr. Raleigh launched the largest hedge fund and private equity events in Latin America and oversees day to day management of the firm.  Additionally, Adam has held series 7 and 63 licenses. Mr. Raleigh earned a B.A. degree in Finance from Kent State University in Ohio.

AHMAD SAHAR

HEAD OF PRIVATE EQUITY GROUP

Mr. Sahar Mahjoor is responsible for manager and industry relations at Latin Markets. He is a Partner of the firm and focuses his time identifying international managers with an interest in Brazil and Latin America. In addition to his role at LM, Mr. Sahar Mahjoor also serves as Chairman of The Afghan Education Peace Foundation. Prior to joining LM, Mr. Sahar Mahjoor held a variety of positions with some of the world’s leading public relations, sales, marketing and event planning firms. Mr. Sahar Mahjoor earned a B.A. degree in History from the State University of New York, College at Oneonta.

TIM RALEIGH

HEAD OF FINANCE

Mr. Raleigh is responsible for financial management and strategic planning for Latin Markets. Prior to LM, he held financial and management positions at Progressive Insurance. Mr. Raleigh graduated with honors in Political Science at Kent State University in Ohio. 

KENNETH BAUCO

HEAD OF CAPITAL PROJECTS AND INFRASTRUCTURE GROUP

Mr. Bauco is responsible for designing and implementing the business, marketing, editorial and sales strategy for the Capital Projects and  Infrastructure division of Latin Markets; a division providing cross-platform marketing and business development solutions to Latin America’s leading infrastructure-focused EPC’s, concessionaries, investors, government entities, and service & solution providers. He focuses his time on identifying, developing and delivering communications solutions for international and local investors, concessionaries and EPC’s across energy, transport, water, social, telecom and agriculture infrastructure in Latin America. Prior to joining LM, Mr. Bauco held management roles with Business News Americas, Terrapinn and Euromoney. Mr. Bauco earned a B.A. in English from Fordham University.

CHARLES FATHERS

HEAD OF NORTHERN LATIN AMERICA GROUP

Mr. Fathers is responsible for investor and industry relations in Northern Latin America and the Carribean. Prior to LM he held positions at Temasek Holdings in Singapore and Accion International in Washington, DC. Mr. Fathers earned a MA in International Relations from the Maxwell School at Syracuse University and holds a BA in Politics and Philosophy from the University of Hull.

WILLIAM FRANK

HEAD OF SOUTHERN LATIN AMERICA GROUP

Mr. Frank is responsible for investor and industry relations in Chile, Uruguay, Argentina and Peru. Prior to LM he held positions with the American Hospital in Tbilisi and the Strategic Research Institute in the Republic of Georgia. Mr. Frank earned a BA degree in Philosophy from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. Additionally, Mr. Frank is fluent in Spanish.

GISELI AKABOCI

HEAD OF OPERATIONS

Ms. Akaboci is a Brazilian national and is responsible for the firm’s operations and logistics coordination. Additionally, she focuses her time on roadshow development and investor relations. Prior to LM she has held positions with Banco Nossa Caixa, Santander Group and UNICAMP (University of Campinas). Ms. Akaboci earned a BA Degree in Business and Marketing from Escola Superior de Administração e Comunicação in Campinas, Brazil and a MA Degree in Economics and International Business from City University of New York. 

ZAIANNA ORTIZ

HEAD OF MARKETING

Ms. Ortiz is responsible for overseeing the firm's creative assets including all online content, print materials and event signage.  She assists the firm in various facets of business development while also serving as a liaison between strategic international media and institutional partners. Prior to joining LM, Ms. Ortiz worked at various companies as part of executive public relations and marketing teams on both the corporate and start-up levels. Ms. Ortiz has degrees in Buying and Merchandising as well as Marketing from LIM College in New York and is fluent in Spanish.  

PALOMA LIMA

HEAD OF PRIVATE EQUITY GROUP

Ms. Lima is originally from São Paulo, Brazil and has been living in New York since 2008. She is responsible for leading the Private Equity Group at Latin Markets, the premier provider of fundraising support for international private equity funds looking to raise capital, or allocate to, Latin America. Prior to this role, she has over 9 years of experience in the financial services and public relations industries. She held positions as Director of Marketing, Relationship Manager, Branch Head, Project Director and Public Relations at Guayaba Capital, Citibank Brazil, Santander Banespa, State Government of Sao Paulo and Symnetics. Ms. Lima received a Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations from Faculdade Cásper Líbero in São Paulo. AMIR OUKI

HEAD OF REAL ESTATE GROUP

Mr. Ouki is responsible for capital introduction for global funds based outside of the US, primarily within Canada and Europe. Prior to LM, he held positions at Kingsview Financial in New York as well as Lyceum Capital Private Equity and the Centre for Economic Learning and Social Research in London. Additionally, Mr. Ouki holds a BSc with Honors in Economics from University College London. Mr. Ouki is fluent in French.

SHU LI

HEAD OF GLOBAL INVESTOR RELATIONS

Mr. Li is responsible for global institutional investor relations. He received an MBA in Finance from Quinnipiac University, a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of International Business & Economics (UIBE) in Beijing and is currently a CFA candidate. Additionally, Mr. Li is fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese.

DANIEL PARA MATA

CAPITAL PROJECTS AND INFRASTRUCTURE GROUP

Mr. Para is responsible for infrastructure summits management and sponsor relationships in Peru, Colombia, Panama, Mexico, Brazil & Chile. Prior to LM he was a operations specialist with Microsoft in Madrid, Spain in the enterprise partners group. Mr. Para earned a BA degree in Business Administration from the Universidad Autonoma de Madrid. Additionally, Mr. Para is fluent in Spanish.

ADRI RUIZ

CAPITAL PROJECTS & INFRASTRUCTURE GROUP

Ms. Ruiz is a Dominican national. Within the Capital Projects & Infrastructure Group, she is responsible for identifying business opportunities and delivering business development solutions to a variety of senior-level infrastructure sector participants in Latin America. Ms. Ruiz earned a Bachelors of Law from The Universidad Autonoma de Santo Domingo, and is fluent in Spanish.

BRANDON LINK

PRIVATE EQUITY GROUP

Mr. Link is responsible for the production of the firm’s private equity focused events. Prior to Latin Markets he worked in Porto Alegre, Brazil with Alinca and as an independent consultant focusing on business development and international communications. Mr. Link earned a BS degree in Business Management from the University of Kansas. Additionally, Mr. Link is fluent in Portuguese.

JAVIER MIÑANA

SOUTHERN LATIN AMERICA GROUP

Mr. Miñana is responsible for Marketing and Sales within the Southern Latin America Group, and brings extensive past experience as an entrepreneur and event organizer.  Prior to his position with Latin Markets, he founded the largest pan-European interuniversity sports platform, linked with the World Interuniversity Games, which are now recognized by the International Olympic Committee.  Mr. Miñana previously held a marketing position with Vueling Airlines in Barcelona and earned a BA and Master in Business Administration from ESADE Business School in Barcelona. He is fluent in Spanish, English and French.

DANIEL KIM

REAL ESTATE GROUP

 Mr. Kim was born and raised in Sao Paulo, Brazil but has also lived in Los Angeles, California and Seoul, South Korea. Prior to joining LM, he has held positions as an ESL English Teacher and as an Analyst for the Trinity University Student Managed Fund. He graduated from Trinity University with a Bachelors of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance. He is fluent in Korean and Portuguese.

ANA ROMERO

CAPITAL PROJECTS AND INFRASTRUCTURE

 Ms. Romero is responsible for production and development within the Capital Project and Infrastructure Group. Prior to Latin Markets, Ms. Romero worked for a London-based Advisory specializing in large infrastructure projects in emerging economies. She has experience working within the energy sector in Latin America and Venezuelan Embassies at the United Nations and the Vatican City in Rome. Additionally, Ms. Romero holds a First Class BSc with Honors in Politics with IR from the University of Bath and a MSc in International Public Policy from University College London. Ms. Romero is fluent in both French and Spanish and conversational in Italian and Portuguese.

ANDRE LEMOS

PRIVATE EQUITY AND REAL ESTATE GROUP

 Mr. Lemos is responsible for manager & advisor relations in the Private Equity Group at Latin Markets. Previously, Mr. Lemos worked in Wealth Management for a single family office in Austin, TX in addition to holding analyst positions at Kerburn Rose and Cedar Street Capital in New York. As an Investment Banking Analyst, he performed M&A, LBO and Valuation analyses for Fortune 500 companies, and was also involved in multimillion-dollar Frontier Market capital raise deals in Nigeria.  He holds a B.S. in Business Administration from Park University and is fluent in English, Portuguese and Spanish.

KILBY BROWNE

SALES AND CAPITAL INTRODUCTION

Mr. Browne is responsible for sales and capital introduction in the Southern Latin Group with a concentration on hedge funds, specifically in Brazil.  Prior to LM, Mr. Browne was an emerging markets sales trader across multiple asset classes at Planner Securities, a Brazilian broker dealer in NYC.  His experience in connecting international clients to the Brazilian markets space has given him unique insight into the connectivity, trading, and regulatory issues of broker dealers, hedge funds, institutional investors and technology firms entering emerging markets and how best to access these markets.  Before that he was a fixed income trader at O’Brien & Sheppard, as well as for PaineWebber Inc.  Mr. Browne has a BBA in Finance from Loyola University in Baltimore.  He holds a series 7, 53 and has held a series 63.  Additionally, Mr. Browne is proficient in Portuguese.

GRACE LEE

FINANCE GROUP

Ms. Lee is a Korean national. She works with financial operations and is responsible for pre & post financial forum logistics and coordination. Prior to LM, she has held positions in finance and marketing at Amore Pacific Corporation and Samsung-Tesco. Ms. Lee developed and presented innovative action plans for target markets. She was also in charge of resource accounting and budget.  Ms. Lee has expertise at applying mathematical knowledge in a practical way. Ms. Lee earned a B.S. degree in Mathematics from Suwon University in Korea. Ms. Lee is fluent in Korean and English.

MATHIAS GREZ

CLIENT RELATIONSHIP MANAGER

Mr. Grez is responsible for maintaining client relationships and developing new business for the northern Latin American team covering Colombia, Mexico, The Caribbean and Florida. Prior to LM Mr. Grez was the Director of Accounts for Latin America at GDS International, focusing on managing a team organizing events throughout Latin America. Prior to that he was the co-founder of B&G Holdings, llc, a boutique brokerage firm. Mr. Grez is a Chilean Native, he speaks fluent Spanish as wells as proficient Portuguese, he studied Business Administration at Suffolk County Community College in NY..

Prior to joining LM, she held positions as a Hewlett Packard Product Manager for Polux Suministros, a technology company in Colombia, and a Jobber Supplies for Hewlett Packard Colombia.  Ms. Tatis holds a BS degree in Business Communications and Publicity from Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in Bogota, Colombia. Ms Tatis is fluent in Spanish.

Prior to LM, Mr.Ortiz managed account relations at ACCION USA in New York, interned for the office of former U.S. Senator Herb Kohl, handled management and financial services in Wisconsin and worked as an independent researcher in Curitiba, Brazil. Mr. Ortiz was born and raised in Bogota, Colombia and is fluent in Spanish and conversational in Portuguese.

EDITOR

Mr. Fraser is responsible for conducting interviews with top industry executives and creating editorial marketing content for Latin Markets’ web site and newsletters. Prior to joining LM, Mr. Fraser wrote on the hedge fund industry for Evestment.com and worked with the marketing team at The Clinton Foundation. He has earned a B.A. in English from SUNY New Paltz and a Master’s degree in Political Economy from The New School for Social Research.
